10 Reasons Why You Fail

by | Sep 14, 2021 | Success | 0 comments

Everyone wants to succeed, but very few make it happen where the majority fail. Every time you fail in accomplishing something, you compromise. Every time you compromise, a part of you die.

You lose some interest and lead a mechanical life. Over time you might lose interest in everything and never want to follow your heart again.

Yes, finally, you buy the thoughts of the people who compromised in their life. And you might completely stop believing that you could try anything new.

Who knows, you might even enter into the club where you tell the new blood not to try anything new and take a safer path. — Yes, becoming a dream killer.

It sounds scary, right? I am not trying to exaggerate things. You can also observe the life cycle of the people who compromised around you. Okay, let’s enter into the list.

Afraid to stand out and challenge the status quo

You must have heard the famous quote,

“Beginners are many, but finishers are few.”

It is true. If going to the finish line were easy, everyone would have achieved the goals. It makes the achievement more exciting. Small dreams are not so exciting.

However, the bigger the dreams you have, the greater the struggles you are going to have. You might have to break many things a conventional thinker believes.

It requires you to stand alone most of the time and prove them wrong. You face a lot of rejections. And if you are afraid to start something new, you can never get started, and you will remain where you have been all the time.

Giving up too early

Staying on the course will be challenging with time. Sometimes, everything might happen against your beliefs. When things become harder over time, you might tend to give up when things are just about to take a 360-degree shift.

You always have to recollect that your present version is your dream version at the beginning of your journey. All you have to do is give one more try.

Want to do everything by yourself

Sometimes, you need someone with a similar mentality to go to the next level. However, we heard from the beginning not to believe anyone and only depend on our efforts to succeed in life. Due to which we don’t seek help.

Hanging out with the same people who don’t contribute to your growth

No offence, you are an average of the five people you spend most of your time with. If your buddies aren’t contributing to your growth, you should be brave enough to change your group. Only when you hang out with people who can help you get success, you can grow fast.

Not open to advise

When someone gives advice, arguing with them, not paying attention to them and reflecting may cost you a lot. In 10th class, my English teacher gave me a sweet warning as I was overconfident. I didn’t take the lesson. As a result, my marks are low in board exams in English.

No groundwork

When you do the groundwork, you can understand the ground reality that helps you make wise decisions. We are living in a world where we give much importance to looking at numbers while taking decisions. Stats and theories might deceive you sometimes.

You are too distracted

Not focusing enough is one more problem. It is not your fault, many things are constantly trying to grab our attention. So, staying focused takes a lot of effort. Unless you master the art of focusing more, succeeding will be a big challenge for you.

Not taking responsibility

We are living in a world where people expect you to be a Mr Perfect. So, we try to blame others for our mistakes. I have been blaming the world for my failures for 2.5 years after my graduation.

Later on, I started taking responsibility. That’s when I started noticing things taking a shift.

Not learning from previous mistakes

This can be a continuation of the previous reason. When you take responsibility, you learn from your previous mistakes. And do the needful and grow.

Not believing your belief 100%

The real strength of your belief is believing 100%. Even if you have 1% doubt about it, you can’t succeed. For people, see it on a magnifying glass. So the chances of success will keep falling.

Not unlearning and relearning

This is one of the main reasons. In the last decade, illiterates are the people who can’t read or write. However, in the 21st century, the illiterates are the people who can’t unlearn and relearn.

Things are evolving rapidly, and the old rules are becoming obsolete. So, you should understand the trends and adapt to them to stay relevant and achieve your goals.

These are the reasons I noticed that delayed my success and what I noticed from the people in my life.
