Are You Also Doing This Mistake?

Are you wondering this is click-bait?

Yes, it is because I wasn’t able to find a perfect title for this article.🙈

Many of us commit one mistake of always looking for perfection.

Many of us look for a perfect partner — a perfect business idea — a perfect career path.

In the quest of looking for perfection, we commit the big mistake of not knowing the worth of what we have.

One story came to my mind that I read in You can Win by Shiv Khera on getting this thought.

I know it’s not a good thing to ask for a return favour. But if you know the name of that book, please update me.😅

Enough of the other talks let us get into the story.

I will keep the story short and to the point as my articles are becoming very lengthy.😂

There is a person who has acres of land alongside a river. He lives on farming. One day, he finds a shining crystal in the water. The crystal is attractive. So, the farmer keeps it in his house such that sun rays fall on it as an attraction.

One day a wise man visited his place and was so fascinated by looking at the crystal. He tells the farmer about the diamonds and how worthy they are.

Then farmer understands that he can become the wealthiest person in his town if he finds those diamonds. With this intention, he sells all of his properties and goes to find those diamonds.

After months of digging and mining at different prospective places, he exhausts all of his money and dies out of starvation.

After a year, the same wise visited the place and enquired about the farmer to find his situation. Then he says that the crystal, farmer found, is a diamond and he should have told the farmer about it.

The new owner says there are a lot of those crystals at the shore. As a result, he becomes the wealthiest person in the town.

The farmer in the story resembles most of us.

Yes, I see many persons in my life who doesn’t understand the worth of the things they have and always feel something is missing.

“We mission diamonds by looking for gold.”

There is nothing like perfect in this world. That imperfectness makes life interesting. Also, we humans have the potential to improve everything that we lay our hands-on.

I learnt this lesson the hard way. It cost me missing one person who understood me, like my mom.

Yes, we are humans, and we commit mistakes and learn from them. Sometimes, even a lifetime is not enough to correct those.

And in most cases, our assumptions are fictitious.

We miss that business proposal looking at the imperfections that don’t exist.

We miss that career opportunity thinking you are worthy of something better.

Yes, we are humans, and we are creative too. So we create something that doesn’t even exist to stop us from taking that next step.

Yes, I was also creative in imagining the things that didn’t even exist, and my friends had a hard time cutting that creativity.🤣🤣

Now, I am happy that their efforts have the lion share in cutting my creativity.😍

So, my dear friend, stop worrying about what you don’t know and start understanding the worth of what’s with you. Here is the story of how the life of my very good friend turned when she started understanding her self worth.

Have you found value in this article? If you feel you read this story somewhere, please let me know the title of the story.😅

Thank you for staying till the end. See you in the next article
