Being in Multiple Domains a Boon or a Curse?

One of the concerns or confusions people have in general is not being in one field constantly. Are you the one who has been all over? Are you the one who gets bored after being on one path then change it? Then you are at the right place reading the blog post of a person who has been all over mostly. Let’s get started.

My Story of Being in Multiple Domains

If you are my regular follower, you already know that I have been in different fields. I am into network marketing and digital marketing and am a content writer. I have been into teaching, direct marketing, freelancing, insurance, job.

And I entered into real estate. Right now, we are building a project to help realtors get leads. Also, the customers find the right property that fulfils their needs.

If you pay close attention, I have been all around in most of the places. One more thing, even in teaching, I have dealt with different subjects in different schools. And I am happy with all my experiences. Besides, some people are worried if they don’t like their job and start getting interested in other domains.

Why Are People Worried If They Are Not in a Single Domain?

One of the main reasons is, “Kya kahenge log.” (What will people think). You may feel what if they don’t like that I have been in all of these things. And would I be able to fit into this, or will the similar story repeat here also?

It worries you because you have been hearing people speaking about growing in a single domain. Moreover, the society designed a system in that way. So, you will feel alien and start doubting yourself if you don’t find that missing element.

Are you wondering what that missing element is? Then you need to book a consultation with me. I will be taking you on a journey beyond your passion. You will understand that one thing you have been thriving for in your life till now.

Let’s focus on our main context.

Being in Multiple Domains is a Boon or a Curse

To tell you about this, I want to tell you about me first.

Here were my thoughts and how I was in earlier days:

  1. People can manipulate me easily by boasting about anything.
  2. I wasn’t able to see things as they are. — I used to see them wearing my lens.
  3. I used to think greatness should lie in an opportunity if it is right for you.

There might be many, but I don’t remember any other than those I mentioned.

But here is how I feel and am right now:

  1. None can manipulate me by boasting about anything. — I have been doing all that stuff to realise that there is no comparison between any two different things.
  2. I see things from a new angle. You can consider a broader perspective. — Knowledge and experience of different domains enabled me to understand things on a deeper level.
  3. You are solely responsible for your success or failure. — If you are the best at the core, you can even make use of an opportunity at the max.

Final Thoughts

I haven’t mentioned one more benefit. Being in different domains gives you the unmatched benefit of instantly connecting with anyone. — Being more empathetic.

It helps you in coming up with a solution to the majority of the problems.
