Lessons I Learnt From Aye Jude

I may be good for nothing. Everyone around me is better than me, and will I be successful? I think it is better to stay away from this than facing embarrassment. I am an introvert. I feel it is better to stay away from people as I am scared of speaking with people.

These were the qualities of a person whose video I watched today.

He was

  1. Low thinking guys (Low self-esteem)
  2. Escapist
  3. Introvert
  4. Unhappy — kept on failing

Let’s get into his story.

Phase 1: Backlogs and Being an Escapist

Aye Jude — AKA — Ajay joined BTech but was struggling to mingle with people. He was scared of connecting with people and clear his doubts by speaking with his professors.

Backlogs started entering his life. One after one, after one, they piled up, and he felt it was impossible to clear them.

Final Result, he convinced his parents and dropped from college to focus on movies. — To escape from the worse situation. It becomes the beginning of phase 2.

Phase 2: Krishna Nagar to Anna Nagar

For one year, Ajay focused on movies and direction. He had always been dependent on others. He used not to work hard and been playing a safe game.

As a result, things didn’t change, and he dropped from it to land in college again. However, movies stuff direction, sounding, and all remained in his mind. — As he kept on hearing them and he learnt something.

Phase 3: Back to College and Low Self Esteem

Just imagine how sitting with your juniors in the same class will be? That was the situation of Ajay. However, using the skills he learnt in phase 2, he made one movie in his college.

Heros and villains were his college faculty, editing, sounding, and other teams were his fellow buddies. His strengths gave him the courage to work with his faculty. However, the legacy didn’t continue after his graduation. The reason is inconsistency. — They made only one movie in the whole year.

Phase 4: Recommendations and Life

After graduation, he came back to zero, and his father prioritised his passion for movies. So, though he is an IAS officer, he went to different directors and recommended him to work as their assistant.

It didn’t take Ajay more time to realise that the recommendations wouldn’t work, and he had to rely only on his talent. So he told his father to stop helping him with all stuff and decided to drop his journey in movies.

Phase 5: A Completely New Journey With A New Twist

He decided to become a pilot and cleared two rounds, written tests and physical tests. He learnt to put in hard work while in this phase. And the moment he was about to get into the profession, everything collapsed and came down to zero. Reason? COVID.

Till now, carelessness, irresponsibilities stopped him. And now, even nature.

And he was depressed again. — Thinking everything is happening against him.

Phase 6: The Pay Off — Aye Jude

Though he went to rock bottom and even further more into it. — However, the lessons he learnt in every phase stopped him from sabotaging himself.

Lessons he learnt,

Phase 1: Till you think what others think — Kya Kahenge Log — we stop from doing many things.

Phase 2: Film making. Ajay understood different things required to bring life to movies. And he made 360 videos in one year, which is not a joke.

The reason is the lesson he learnt in phase 3.

Phase 3: As he learnt consistency in phase 3. He focused on depending only on his talent and abilities. He started sharpening his axe and grow more. It is due to the lesson from phase 4.

Phase 4: He learnt recommendations wouldn’t work. So he believed in his talent only and focused on it which helped him in working with his idol in the movie industry — after six months of starting his journey.

Phase 5: Hard work. — Whatever talent, the ability you have, you have to put in hard work. — You should only work hard to get success. And all his efforts helped him to reach the success he is experiencing now.

Final Thoughts

There are many failures in his life. However, he learnt lessons from every failure. And those lessons add to experience which helps us to get success.

However, many keep those experiences aside and marry those failures which keep them struggling.

Here is the channel of Aye Jude. You can see how he grew.

I have had many failures and got many lessons as well. We will be talking about them some other time.

What do you think?
