Is Just Positive Mindset Enough to Improve the Quality of Life?

Why do good people struggle a lot in life?

Life is unfair! People who are not better than me are doing great in life. I am so optimistic about life, but why do I have to go through all this?

Those who are excelling must be doing something sneaky, or the world is not for good people.

If you have any of the above opinions, stay with me till the end.

I, too, had the same feeling during my childhood, probably due to the wiring from my parents.

I didn’t realise this until I uninstalled an app from my mobile today. I was so unproductive yesterday and today. I will share what exactly made me realise and why I uninstalled it.

The Problem Statement

If you don’t know what is stopping you, you might believe what others tell you is the reason behind your problem.

And as you want to improve the quality of life desperately, even though the solution is right in front of you, you can’t see it.

And your judgemental ability takes a toll, so you believe everything a good orator says. — Try them — To finally end up more miserable. That is how the majority do to upsell their next level of programs.

Have you ever realised the assessment tests of different edtech companies for kids?

They give the questions that kids find too difficult to answer correctly and feel miserable. And they claim to make kids understand better.

The same is happening with you. First, someone said all you need is a positive mindset, and you started being optimistic. But nothing changed in life.

It becomes like you are hopeful means you can endure a lot of pain. However, they missed stressing one key point that is the reason for all hardships in life.

Just Positive Mindset is not Enough, You Should Also Focus on This!

I kept on believing this to date and focused accordingly. However, I realised crucial details later.

The results you get are due to the actions you take.

Your actions depend on your feelings.

Your feelings depend on your thoughts.

Your thoughts are dependant on your beliefs.

Your beliefs are dependant on the information you consume.

So, you have to be more concerned about the information you consume.

It means:

The books you read.

The conversations you have

The videos you watch

People you hang out with

However, even if you know all of these, you also should know what you have to avoid.

It is the same as knowing bad words first while learning a new language. It helps you to not fall into an embarrassing situation.

In the same way, in this equation, emotions play a crucial role. So you should be very conscious of them. And take necessary steps to avoid unpleasant situations.

When positive emotions influence your actions, you get positive results and vice versa with negative emotions.

Below are some positive emotions:

  1. Love
  2. Gratitude
  3. Inspired
  4. Give

Below are some negative emotions:

  1. Guilt/Regret
  2. Lust
  3. Fear
  4. Pain

Final Thoughts

Emotion is nothing but a motion that influences your action. So when the emotions guiding your actions are positive, you get positive results. It means you improve the quality of life.
