There is a demon inside you! Irrespective of who you are and what you do, you are taming one bad guy inside you. He is the reason for all mishaps. He is the reason for all the struggles. Today, I watched Iron Man 3, and it became an inspiration for this content idea.
What you are going to read is not something very new. However, it is a reminder for you of what you have to do. I am also fighting some I am hosting and going to share a few in this post.
My Fears and the People I Admire For Their Abilities
I have seen a lot of awesome people and been nurtured by some. Moreover, I admire some of them who has been a polestar for me at different phases.
Let’s go back to 2019. I have been working in a direct marketing business where we go on different campaigns, including residential. The beauty in the residential drive is, “it is more like catch me if you can.“
Are you feeling sneaky? Wait! We weren’t doing anything wrong. We meet residents and get the objectives meet. However, there will be some red flags. — It may be rude residents or watchmen and some frustrated people.
Whatever we do is like avoiding all of those red flags and get our treasure. Here is the end to describing the plot. Now, coming to the story, team leads take the new guys on the campaigns. And I admire them for their skills.
I wasn’t getting many results as I was so worried about those red flags. One day, when we (my trainer and me) went on a campaign, we faced many red flags. My trainer was just astounding. He didn’t let those red flags affect me.
However, he was taking more breaks than usual on that day. Then I understood that he was getting results, not because he was not scared of those red flags. — But he didn’t let those fears stop him and learnt to tame them.
Isn’t fear one effect of demons? Of course, as it is negative energy, it is an outcome of them.
Where do the fears emerge? Of course, inside us, and we create them.
The Other Results Due to Our Demons
- They make you deviate from your duties.
- They keep you involved in unproductive activities.
- They take the ability to prioritise better from you.
Now tell me? Don’t you have them in you? Doesn’t everyone have?
Of course, everyone does. However, the only difference between the best performers and underperformers is the amount of energy given to those demons.
Moreover, we create those demons, not any outside force. The more power we give to them, the more we let them control us. The more we enable them to sway us, the more we deviate from our callings. Finally, we make situations worse.
My demons make me unproductive by avoiding me to prioritise the tasks better. They also make me not take action when I should. And I am not complaining as my demons are different versions of me.
And I am focusing on not paying attention to them and trying to figure out what I should also do. Then I understood, I have to improve my mental strength if I am not wrong. What do you say?
What are your demons, and how are they affecting you? And what are your counter plans to face them?
