Let me introduce my friend today. He is my fictional character. I borrowed him from my upcoming plans. Jack is his name, and he is a person with high ambitions. He wants to achieve great things in life. However, he has a problem. Let’s speak with him once.
Story of Jack
Abhinay: Hey Jack, what are your plans?
Jack: I think I want to become a marketing specialist.
Abhinay: Hey man! It’s a great idea, all the best.
(After a week)
Abhinay: Hey buddy, how are you doing? How is it going?
Jack: I am alright. I got a feeling that I should go for designing. I think I am fit for it.
Abhinay: Ohh! It’s alright. Anyways, all the best.
(One week passed)
Abhinay: Hello, buddy! What’s up?
Jack: I am trying to decide what to choose between marketing specialist, designer, and edtech. However, there is a catch.
Abhinay: (With wide eyes) What is that?
Jack: There are many experts in that all those fields. Also, I am not so good at any of them either. So, I can’t keep on adding content in all those things. And I am confused regarding what to do because of the many interests I have.
Is This Your Story Too?
Is Jack’s story resonating with you? I have seen many people with the same challenges. So, I decided to throw light on it to help you clear some confusion from your mind.
I encountered the following types of people:
- People with multiple interests.
- People with false expectations.
- Short term thinking people.
- Deep thinking people.
- People who want to take every step with great precision.
The common point is, all of them are confused. Most of the time, those persons are battling with big problems that don’t even exist.
I want to share a personal story that happened recently. We had a situation that we have had to convey to a new person. We missed three chances to pass about it. But we didn’t, thinking how the other person might perceive.
However, we can’t keep ourselves away for long from sharing about it. So we decided to say it and prepared well to face the obvious. And we did the needful. But to our surprise, the other person took it as a general thing.
In 97% of the cases, your situation is also the same. You create something big and battle with it. However, when you confront it, you realise it is a silly thing that doesn’t require the energy you gave for it.
Solution | How to Remove Confusion From Your Life
I understood a simple pattern to follow to remove confusion from your life. I learnt it from my personal life as well as from the people I follow.
Let me share that framework with you to clear the noise in your head.
- Declare your goal, what you want to achieve. — This will free you from other possibilities
- Be brutally honest with yourself. — Accept your shortcomings and don’t cheat yourself by saying I will become good at this or that with time. It helps you to understand that you are not in league with big people in your niche.
- Focus on the next simple action step that will take you closer to your goal. — Don’t think about the action steps at the 99th step.
- Find people who already did what you want to do. Analyse what they did and how they went to their position. — They say success leaves clues. It is true. And universal laws are always the same irrespective of the place, and the language people speak.
- Learn how you can increase the speed.
Depending on the depth of your confusion, sometimes it is hard to accept the facts. If it is the case with you, you can book a free consultation with me. Being a person who has been all over, I think I might help you as I am focusing on one goal and made it my life.
